Fermenting for Beginners

Ferments are what we will discuss and make in this demonstration based workshop. We'll cover kombucha & water kefir - how to care for a SCOBY and water kefir grain (not actually grains - more like gel crystals), then you'll get your hands dirty making sauerkraut and kimchi.
You'll be surprised how easy it is to make your own gut friendly, healthy food & drinks and will take home a SCOBY to make your own kombucha, kefir crystals to make your own water kefir, ancient villi culture to make your own yoghurt plus a jar of sauerkraut and kimchi to ferment at home.
Maximum 6 attendees.

Fermenting has been around for centuries in many different forms around the world.
We'll start with morning tea and farm-style lunch is provided. Our menu will be plant based. Please advise any allergies. We can cater for gluten free and dairy free for lunch.

This is a hands on and sometimes messy workshop, please wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Workshop is for adults only and not suitable for children under 16.
Pets not allowed due to hygiene regulations.
